Clik here to view. You’d think with the amount of time I spend online researching places to take the kids I would not make this mistake twice. Yet here I was again pulling up to Gleason’s Gymnastics (where they host a great Friday preschool open gym program) and discovering it still closed for the holiday break. And again, we found ourselves turning to the Eagan Community Center in our time of need. It’s not a bad consolation – Fridays the Center offers a trio of fun spaces to burn off energy in for a very reasonable $3.00 per child. From 9:00 – 11:30 we had access to the gymnasium (the plasma cars were a big hit), the Blast indoor space-themed play structure (often quite crowded) and the mellow Kids Kare preschool classroom for unstructured play. So the morning wasn’t a bust after all!

Clik here to view.We even hit on a morning when Music Together was offering a free demo class. The ECC is host to a satellite of this internationally-known early childhood music program. Firstborn and I took classes when he was a toddler and enjoyed them very much. Twin Cities-area demo classes are readily available at many locations and only require advance registration.
